1961 Kim Il Sung at Moranbong -- Pyongyang During Reconstruction

Found image of Kim Il Sung at Moranbong in post-Korean War reconstruction era Pyongyang. Depicted are a youthful KIS looking very much like his grandson and current leader of the DPRK, Kim Jong Un. Also features the Moranbong Fun Fair and what is now the Moranbong Grand Theatre. These sites were frequented by Western tourists in the 2000s and 2010s. Frequent visitors to this site may remark upon the scorched earth of the grounds following the Korean War, in striking contrast with the lush greenery which surrounds the area today.
